Marius Street Veterinary Hospital is a small animal practice that has been providing dedicated care to pets for over 25 years. We treat dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, reptiles, and more – always in a caring and friendly environment. We understand how important companion animals are in their owner’s lives, and our aim is to care for each patient as if they were part of our own family.
Our team of three veterinarians and four nurses is approachable, compassionate, and committed to maintaining excellence in all aspects of veterinary care. We offer a full range of professional services along with in-house diagnostics, including pathology and radiology, ensuring high-quality treatment under one roof.
The practice is owned and operated by Dr. Robyn Edleston. Originally from Sydney’s western suburbs, Robyn graduated with honours from the University of Sydney in 1977 as one of only eight women in her class. She began her career as the supervising vet at the RSPCA clinic in Broken Hill, where she worked with everything from cockatoos to camels, often alongside the Royal Flying Doctor Service to care for animals in remote areas. After practicing in Yass, Canberra, Orange, Wagga Wagga, and finally Tamworth, Robyn opened Marius Street Vet in 1999 to provide a full-service small animal clinic with a warm, family feel.
Robyn’s professional interests include small animal medicine, nutrition, geriatric pet care, dentistry, behaviour, and pocket pet medicine. Outside of veterinary work, she enjoys singing, acting, painting, and travel. She and her husband live just outside Tamworth with their cat, Bat Cat, and their Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Louis.
Despite our continuous growth, we remain a small, family-oriented practice that values personal connections. We pride ourselves on making time for each client, offering a relaxed and approachable consultation style, and maintaining open communication at all times. Our long-standing client loyalty is a testament to the quality of care we provide – and we remain committed to upholding the highest standards of veterinary service for many years to come.
