Armidale book store Boobooks has been operating since 2006, but was purchased by current owner Yvonne Langenberg in 2018. Yvonne’s vision has always been to create a place where everybody feels welcome and is much more than just a bookshop – to create a meeting place to exchange ideas and learn about this amazing place we live in.

Boobooks is a book shop with both new and used books, as well as a space for reading, learning and conversation, with the Pobblebonk Cafe and regular music performances. This concept had been an ambition of Yvonne’s for many years, so when she heard that Boobooks was closing she was very interested in bringing her ideas to life in the established space.

Boobooks is a very community-oriented space for Armidale residents. Yvonne is an avid supporter of local authors, stocking many locally produced works in-store. She also likes to encourage local musicians, who have an opportunity to perform regularly in the space. The shop is not only a place for books, coffee, conversation and cake, but also chess, backgammon, and bridge.

Boobook is located in the Mall in armidale. The bookshop also has an online presence, where you can view and purchase a variety of books and digital gift cards.
